Founding Member of Roanoke Baby Hub LLC
Dorothy is passionate about supporting natural childbirth, although she will support you with any birth.

She is a wife to an Army soldier and called "mommy" by two little boys. The birth of her first boy was less than ideal. Dorothy was left feeling weak, vulnerable, and generally afraid of birth. After his birth she found herself with a lot of questions. She did research on all the interventions that she had, only to find they were a lot were avoidable and unnecessary for my birth. That's also when she learned about doulas. She thought to myself that is something she would love to do; to help other women avoid similar birth experiences to hers and enhance other women's births.

When Dorothy got pregnant with her second baby boy she achieved an intervention free, drug free, waterbirth in a hospital, with the help of a doula. Now she especially loves her job as a doula, given her own personal insight about natural childbirth and the power of informed choice.

Nicole Mutter
Trained For Birth Doula Services & Postpartum Doula Services
Founding Member of Roanoke Baby Hub LLC
Midwife In Training
Childbirth Educator in Training
Nicole believes every woman has a right to their optimal birth and with proper information and help is how they achieve it.
She is a mom of four kids ages 5, 3, and 1 year old twins. She was able to achieve my optimal birth with assistance from some doula friends of hers. She decided to be a doula because of the first two births being less than optimal and then her twin birth (a natural birth) working out to be her optimal birth.
Nicole became a doula to help people find their optimal births as she did! She also decided to become a doula because she wanted to help people be able to find and achieve their optimal birth through information, support, and a caring hand.

Olivia Moran
Trained For Birth Doula Services
Roanoke Baby Hub LLC Doula
Undergoing LLL Training
When Olivia thinks back on her birth experiences, she knows just how important it was to have a woman supported birth. Out of the four births she experienced she had support for three of them.
After experiencing a birth without support, she was left knowing that every woman deserves to have a woman completely dedicated to helping her through labor, birth, and beginning breastfeeding. Olivia decided that becoming a Birth Doula was Her calling. She took her training course in March of 2015 and is currently finishing her certification.
Olivia is also working on becoming a La Leche League Leader and looks forward to helping moms with labor, birth, and breastfeeding support.
